June Artist-in-Residence – Bianca Velasquez

Enjoy the intricate, beaded canvases of Artist-in-Residence Bianca Velasquez this month in the art studio. Bianca’s work will be featured in June, and Bianca will present in the studio Sunday June 1,8,15 and 29 from 10am – 2pm. Come chat with her about her work!

Stop into The Leonardo to work on a hands-on art activity with our wonderful Education staff! This bi-monthly program is best for Little Leos between 2 and 5 years old, accompanied by their parent or guardian.
CRAFT – Guest Artist Louise Fischman: Mosaic Trivets

Explore the hands-on world of tile mosaic inspired by The Leonardo’s own Italian Mosaico Exhibit. In this workshop, local artist and art educator Louise Fischman will guide participants in creating a custom tile trivet with a wood frame. Leo staff will grout your finished projects and guests can pick them up later in the week.
Teen Science Cafe and STEM Family Day

Free for all participating teens, includes museum admission.
Calling all teenagers. Join us on Saturday, June 14 for a 2-hour hands-on session all about the human brain, sponsored by the National Teen Science Cafe Network. Experts from Utah Neuroscience at the University of Utah will bring a preserved human brain and spinal cord. They will lead a workshop with teens and families about the functions of the brain. This workshop is offered at no cost to all teens who participate in the science cafe.

Sensory Inclusive Afternoon

Included with general admission. Free for members.
Join us 4-6pm for a sensory friendly Leonardo experience. Lights will be dimmed and sounds will be turned down. There will also be sensory friendly activities in the Art Studio.
Leo Libations

$70/person, Members sign-in for discount. Pre-registration Required.

Registration will close June 24, 2025. No refunds will be offered for cancellations made less than 48 hours before the event. This is a 21+ event. ID is required to attend and registration is nonrefundable for those denied entry.

Literary Libations

Join Ken Sanders, Bill Allred from X96 Radio from Hell, and owner of Wine Academy of Utah, Jim Santangelo for our next Literary Libations to celebrate Terry Tempest Williams! A Terry Tempest Williams-themed cocktail and snacks are included in the ticket price.
Our boozy book club is held monthly in the bookstore. Bring a friend and enjoy laughs and special insight from Ken and Bill. Come by the book store before to pick up some TTW books in our shop favorite section.
