USU Engineer-in-Residence: Aerodynamics of Supersonic Flight

Join us for the final USU Engineer-in-Residence visit until the fall! We will also be joined by Big Blue, the USU mascot! Explore the aerodynamic principles that allow us to evaluate aircraft flying faster than the speed of sound. No pre-registration required, guests can arrive and participate anytime between 10am and 2pm.
Art Adventures – Vincent’s Starry Nights

Is your child a budding artist? In this hands-on workshop, participants will learn about Vincent Van Gogh and his iconic painting stye while creating their own unique Starry Nights. Under the guidance of our amazing Educators, young artists will be introduced to basic painting techniques and the principles of composition and will walk away with their own masterful canvas painting. Best for children 7+.
Little Leos – Mother’s Day

CRAFT – Roy Lichtenstein’s ‘Crying Girl’

Pop into our paint-a-long as we create an 8×10 masterpiece in the style of Roy Lichenstein. Guests will follow a fun step-by-step to create their own “Crying Girl” canvas painting. Food and beverages will be available to purchase in the Salt Bistro during this program.
Sensory Inclusive Afternoon

Guided by Wine Academy of Utah Sommelier Jim Santangelo, welcome the warm days of spring by pairing a lively selection of wines with a menu of strawberry and spinach salad, followed by pasta carbonara topped with fresh peas and pancetta, and finishing with delicious rhubarb sticky buns and clotted cream

2024 Pride – Open Call
The Leonardo invites artists within the Utah LGBTQ+ community to submit artwork dealing with their experiences navigating public spaces and the realities of seeking belonging, acceptance, and safety. From the formation of LGBTQ+ bars, bookstores, and community centers to the potential impact of trans bathroom bills, LGBTQ+ individuals frequently find themselves contending with what it means to be “outside”. This open call exhibition seeks to explore a wide array of interpretations on this theme. Accepted pieces will be exhibited throughout June 2024.
